Logistics of header wrap installation:

The standard way: it’s complicated

• Header wrap is compromised when Jack-rafters are nailed onto the rims
• After framing, it is left there hanging and becomes damaged
• Needs to be carefully detailed so the spray-in-place foam will create the air-seal
• You have to cut away some of the wrap to get at the underside of the joists

The better way: it’s easy

• Header wrap is wrapped around sub-floor only
• This seals the leakage area between the sub-floor and bottom wall plate
• This doesn’t interfere with fastening rafters
• A simplified process. This system works!
